Players thus far have come up with some AWESOME game scenarios when we meet up to play.
This game is for those who like to entertain possibilities, who imagine just what “Green Jobs” would entail, or how “sustainability” might actually work out in our current time and place, and for 210 years from now. These are just two perspectives this game is set up to explore.
Categorical cards prompt us to consider randomly selected scenarios such as:
What we’d do with our time if we could work 20 hours per week, and spend the other 20 hours of our time, energy, focus, and imagination on activities that encourage alternative resource use.
Have you ever built a fort? Ever considered what you’d build as a grown up with a budget and naturally sourced materials that would reduce your electric bill to $0?
Are you kind of into the idea of designing, creating, or fixing clothes? Diverting disposable one-season garments from the waste stream?
What about electric vehicles and where those come from? What are some options there? Who are they actually priced for in today’s marketplace?
Healer-friends, what would you do if you had the support to work with community in your area of focus? What ways would you bring your non-invasive practice more into being to promote health and well-being?
Gardeners, and/or fellow wonder-struck admirers of the natural world, what would you do with some of the awesome abundant material that our gardens produce season-by-season… if you had the time?
Any and all dear friends engaged in helping other humans, be it through social work, volunteer work, or material relief - including housing, health, food, and other areas… what are some seeds of the dreams that got you into your line of work?
Scientists and sustainability practitioners, who are probably looking at this whole mayhem of student loans and current career paths, and thinking about that thesis you submitted a few years back on how to use mycelium to heal land following toxic exposure (or something along those lines)… you want to let your imagination roam a bit?
New vs. Zero SUM a situation in which one person or group can win something only by causing another person or group to lose something.
Something you’d like played out with the SUM total of New (or GREAT) ideas, with a group of people who agree to show up with a good heart?
